Fair trade - More than charity

Watabaran, a corporate enterprise working to create job opportunities for women and other discriminated groups in Nepal. The organization was established in 2001 by Nepalese and Swedish youths. It is a social business in quest of sustainable trade.

Our unique handmade products such as: Christmas cards, notebooks, document files, paper, envelopes and lampshades are exported and sold around the world to business houses with corporate social responsibility profile. Garbage and waste paper are used as raw materials to create environment friendly products. This way the organization self-sustains and grows with profit that is used for expansion and education. This is not just assistance but a fair trade for mutual benefit.
